Broken Nose Carrying Bottle Number One

Juan Muñoz, born and raised in Madrid, Spain, studied art in London and New York. Before his untimely death, he was an important figure in contemporary sculpture who held exhibitions internationally and was collected worldwide. Muñoz is known for his unexpected placement of figures that create tension between works and viewer. The artist was also a writer and interested in other creative fields, such as music, literature, history, and architecture.
