Bernar Venet never made preparatory drawings for this piece. The artist described each sculpture in his Indeterminate Lines series as “the result of improvised, intuitive, empirical work.” In this sculpture, Venet highlights the use of industrial material, bent and twisted, to imitate a drawn line. His presence in public and private collections around the world is widely known.
